This message is from the Morgan County Board of Education.

Dear Supporter of Education in Morgan County,

Working closely with the Superintendent and the Board of Education, The Morgan County Foundation for Excellence in Public Education is raising funds to implement programs of academic excellence in all our schools benefiting all our students. These are the programs that set Morgan County Schools apart, but the school system will not be able to fund them in the current fiscal environment, and they will need our support in the future if we are to achieve the heights of education we want for our children.

Over the past year, with your contributions, MCFEPE has been able to:

  • Grant $8,600 toward a pilot Summer Reading Program at Morgan County Primary School. The goal of this program is to help reduce reading loss over the summer, open opportunities to gain more from the regular school year instructional program instead of playing “catch-up”, and prepare our students for involvement in more challenging instruction.
  • Award $888 to each of the 2013 Morgan County High School graduates with the highest average on AP exams, having taken a minimum of five such exams.
  • Award $1,777 for 2013, to the single Morgan County High School International Baccalaureate Diploma graduate with the highest point total accumulated by performance on exams, extended essay, and Theory of Knowledge final presentation.

In the coming months, with your help, MCFEPE will be able to fund the Following programs as well:

  • The National Math and Science Institute second year training program for Morgan County Middle School teachers with the vision of moving toward STEM certification at MCMS.
  • A Morgan County Elementary School After-School Reading and Math Tutorial Program.

As you can see, students in every school in our system are benefiting from the work of this Foundation. Won’t you join us on this path to the best education possible?

Any contribution you can make will help our children’s future, and don’t forget to find out if your employer might make a matching contribution. Also, if you are thinking about a larger contribution, either on your own or through your business, take a look below at the donor recognition opportunities, and see all the benefits of recognition you will receive throughout our school system.

Please make your contribution to MCFEPE today, either by mail to P.O. Box 1314, Madison, GA 30650, or at our website, Thank you for your support!
